... Daft Punk that is!

I've been on a serious Daft Punk kick lately. What sparked this? I dunno... I searched for Daft Punk on youtube yesterday and stumbled upon the fantastic Interstella 5555 [link] that someone was able to post in full. (Daft Punk + Anime = Win? or WTF?) I think I'm still haunted by that thing. So I had to get it out of my system.

This image is a speedpaint (I didn't time myself, I think it took around 45 mins) of a frame from their Japan interview [link] (I think it is from the making of Interstella 5555). It has been "digitally enhanced" ahem I mean I used my artistic license a bit to pump up the color and clarify the lighting.

Not sure I completely recommend Interstella 5555... I mean, it's awesome. But it gave me strange nightmares. The villain is still haunting my memory for some reason. I think he reminds me of some people I know. But if you do watch it, you're in for a trip (I think watching it is the closest thing I've gotten to drug use 0_o)
